Fairtrade Fortnight

This week sees the start of Fairtrade Fortnight. The theme this year is the ‘Big Swap’ encouraging us all to swap non-Fairtrade goods for Fairtrade goods such as bananas, cotton socks and tea. The Fairtrade Steering Group are running various events at breaktime throughout the two weeks ranging from competitions (winners will receive Fairtrade chocolate bars), bake sales, smoothie stands as well as promoting Fairtrade awareness with presentations during tutor time.

We said farewell to our leaving 6th Form students at an excellent 6th Form Prom at the Midland Hotel on Thursday. Superbly organised by 6th Form Council, we all had a great time. The food was good, presentations were suitably embarrassing for those that won and there were a lot of smiles.
