Fairtrade Fortnight raised a total of £125.48 as well as raising awareness about the work of the Fairtrade Foundation. Well done to the Fairtrade Steering Group who held fund-raising activities in the Humanities area throughout the two weeks. On each Wednesday a competition took place to see who could eat the most raisins using a cocktail stick in just thirty seconds, the participants were fast-paced, determined and very hungry! On each Thursday a highly popular bun sale took place and for a true finale on both Fridays they made smoothies in a variety of flavours which went down a treat!
The Fairtrade Steering Group are now working on a new project about people trafficking, expect to see an update coming soon to an assembly near you!

Farewell to our leaving 6th Form studentsWe said farewell to our leaving 6th Form students at an excellent 6th Form Prom at the Midland Hotel on Thursday. Superbly organised by 6th Form Council, we all had a great time. The food was good, presentations were suitably embarrassing for those that won and there were a lot of smiles.
