Robertshaw Festival

Beckfoot’s musical talent wowed the judges at the Robertshaw Festival of Music, Speech and Drama.

Congratulations to Lewis Wright who won in the Woodwind class.

Our Harmony singers and Senior Band were both awarded a distinction in their classes. Harmony, led by Miss Challoner, came second, with the adjudicator commenting it was the best school choir he had ever heard! The Senior Band led by Mr Stimpson, also came second in their class with some fine playing from all involved.

Talking of festivals…there’s even more good news from the Skipton Music Festival,

In the Guitar Ensemble class, Tom and Sam West came first and also achieved a second place when they performed with Jack Ford. In the Guitar Solo class Tom West came first, Sam West second and Jack Ford third.

Well done to the three of them!
