Our new school building is now only 25 school weeks away !

A big day today, the opening of our newly turfed field and running track. Year 8 girls were the first students to try out the new facilities, they began their lesson with a celebratory lap of the running track! The new long jump track was also christened and Year 8 boys had space to practise their fielding skills.

The exterior of the new Beckfoot and Hazelbeck School is now at an exciting stage where we can really start to see how the completed building will look. On the west side there are areas which now have the painted render finish (white) and colour panels are in place showing the full colour range of greens [...]

BSF – 12 Months to Go!

The external walls are up, the windows are in and we are now counting down to when we will finally move into the new Beckfoot and Hazelbeck School. Our BSF Student Leadership Group has presented a short film showing the new school interior to each year group in assembly.

Building Schools for the Future

Building work is progressing well. Since September we have seen our new school begin to assemble which is very exciting – it even has a roof now! The new building should be available for us in early 2011 with the completion of the project at the end of that year.

Farewell to our leaving 6th Form students thumbnail Farewell to our leaving 6th Form students

We said farewell to our leaving 6th Form students at an excellent 6th Form Prom at the Midland Hotel on Thursday. Superbly organised by 6th Form Council, we all had a great time. The food was good, presentations were suitably embarrassing for those that won and there were a lot of smiles.
